Privacy policy

'Sunjin Co., Ltd.(hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) is greatly concerned about customers’ personal information and follows laws related to “the Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection.”
Through the privacy policy, the Company notifies customers about the uses and collection methods of their personal information, as well as the actions taken for the protection of that information.
Any changes in the privacy policy will be announced by the Company on the website (or through individual notification).

1. Items of personal information collected and collection method

The Company collects the following personal information for membership registration, consultation, service application, etc.

  • Records related to customer complaints or dispute settlements: 3 years (Act on the Consumer Protection in the Electronic Commerce, etc.)

4. Personal information destruction

As a rule, after the purpose of the collection and usage of personal information has been achieved, the relevant information shall be destroyed promptly without exception.The destruction process and method are as follows.

After the purpose of the information that a member provides for membership application etc. has been achieved, it shall be moved to a separate DB (a separate filing cabinet in the case of paper) and stored for a certain period (refer to storage and usage period) for protection purposes, following internal guidelines and other related laws, before being destroyed.
Personal information that has been moved to a separate DB will not be used for any other purpose than storage, unless specified by law.
Destruction method
  • Personal information stored in electronic file format shall be deleted using a technical method that does not allow restoration.
  • Personal information printed on paper shall be destroyed by shredding in a shredder or by incineration.

5. Personal information provision

As a rule, the Company will not provide the personal information of the user externally.
However, the following cases shall be exceptions.
  • The case when the user has given prior consent
  • In accordance to the regulations of law or in the case of a request from an investigation agency for the purpose of investigation, following the processes and methods proscribed by law

6. Entrustment of collected personal information

The Company shall not entrust customer information to an external company without the consent of the customer.
In the future, if such requirement occurs, the entrusted party and the entrusted work contents shall be notified to the customers, and if needed, prior consent shall be obtained.

7. The rights and their execution methods for users and their legal representatives

  • Users or their legal representative can, at any time, view or modify their personal information or that of a minor under the age of 14, or request membership cancellation.
  • Direct viewing, modification, or membership cancellation, is possible after an identification process is completed by clicking on ‘Modify personal information” (or “Modify member information” etc.) for the viewing/modification of personal information of users or minors; for membership cancellation (withdrawal of consent), users must click on “Membership cancellation.”
Alternatively, if you contact the personal information management supervisor via letters, phone, or e-mail, we will take action without delay.
If users have requested for correction of errors in the personal information, that information will not be used or provided until the requested correction has been completed.
In addition, if users have provided incorrect personal information to a third party, the results of the correction shall be shared with the third party without delay to allow for correction.
For personal information that has been cancelled or deleted following the request of users or their legal representative, the Company shall follow the prescriptions under “Personal information storage and usage period in Section 3” and shall not allow the viewing or usage for any other use.

8. Items related to the installation/operation and refusal of automatic personal information collection devices

Devices such as cookies, etc., that automatically collect personal information that was created while using the internet service, will not be operated.

9. Technical/managerial protection measures for personal information

  • Related to the handling of personal information of its users, the Company is considering the following technical/managerial measures to secure safety of personal information to prevent loss, theft, leakage, falsification, or damage.

A. Password encryption

The login ID and password of the Company’s members are stored and managed in encrypted form, and therefore known only to the user themselves; moreover, the confirmation and modification of personal information can only be undertaken by the user who knows the password.

B. Measures for preventing hacking etc.

The Company is doing its utmost to prevent the leakage or damage of members’ personal information caused by hacking or computer viruses etc.
To prepare for damage to personal information, the data is regularly backed-up, the latest vaccine programs are used to prevent leakage or damage of user information, and encrypted communication etc. is used to allow personal information to be safely transmitted on the network.
Unauthorized access is controlled through intrusion prevention systems and efforts are made to have all technical devices possible in place in order to secure system security.

C. Minimization and training of employees who handle personal information

Employees who handle personal information are limited to supervisors; a separate password for this purpose is assigned and regularly updated. Moreover, the observance of personal information handling guidelines is always emphasized through constant supervisor training.
Any concerns related to personal information protection while using the services of the Company can be reported to the personal information management supervisor or the related department.
The Company shall provide a swift and sufficient response to the items reported by the users.
